Self-System coaching- developed from the book “Coaching the Self-System” sees the person as a living system: you learn to help clients bring the multiple parts of themselves into coherence around a stable sense of Self, and carry that change into their relationships, work and the wider world.

What makes this training unique
Experienced, Master Trainer
Your Course Director and Lead Trainer Cristina Pelizzatti is an internationally accredited Master Coach, Mentor Coach and Coach Supervisor, and is one of the very few professionals holding Masters-level credentials with ICF, EMCC and the Association for Coaching.
With more than two decades in coaching education and leadership development, she has delivered thousands of hours of coaching, coach training, supervision, and mentoring. She is the author of Coaching the Self-System (2025), the theoretical and practical foundation of this training, as well as Coaching the Essence (2023) and Il Coaching dell'Essere (2022).
She is also a 1992 Sled Dog World Championships gold medallist.
Professional Coaching Supervision
The ICF Level 1 pathway includes 7 hours of professional coaching supervision, so reflective practice becomes a habit before you work with paying clients.
Depth with Structure
The Self-System method is rooted in psychosynthesis and draws on systemic thinking, positive psychology, neuroscience, ecopsychology and contemplative wisdom, all built around the ICF Core Competencies.

Your Self-System Coaching Pathways
Both pathways share the same 80-hour ICF-accredited training. The ICF Level 1 pathway adds the 7 hr group mentoring you need to apply for your ICF credential and 7 hr of professional supervision.

The Self-System Life Coach pathway suits people who want the method without pursuing an ICF credential now, or coaches who already hold one.
Five Modules.
One Transformational Journey
Foundations
The Self-System model, the ICF Core Competencies and professional ethics, with a focus on the relationship between the Self and the inner system. Begin building an authentic, collaborative and ethically grounded coaching relationship.
Presence
Presence as an essential dimension of coaching practice, explored through awareness, relationship and disidentification. Develop the capacity to hold a generative space for client exploration, meaning-making and change.
Purpose
Will, choice, purpose, inner multiplicity (the many parts within us) and Self-leadership. Learn to support clients toward greater intentionality and alignment between awareness, values, purpose and action.
Practice
Patterns and emerging dynamics in coaching, and how to work with them while maintaining clear ethical boundaries. Develop the capacity to turn complexity into opportunities for awareness, learning, choice and sustainable growth.
Integration
Integration of the Self-System journey through authentic identity, purpose and transpersonal development, with coaching as a generative partnership. Support clients in translating awareness into meaningful action and lasting impact.
Mentor Coaching
and your ICF Credentialing Pathway
The ICF requires 10 hours of mentor coaching for your first credential and subsequent renewals, usually divided into 7 hours of group mentoring and a minimum of 3 individual.
The Self-System Level 1 pathway includes the 7 group hours. You choose how to complete the 3 individual hours.

Cris is an internationally accredited Master Coach, Mentor Coach and Coach Supervisor, holding Master-level credentials with ICF, EMCC and the Association for Coaching.
Grounded in rigorous ethical and professional standards, for more than two decades she has worked internationally as a coach, mentor coach, supervisor, educator and assessor, supporting senior leaders, coaches, professionals and individuals in significant journeys of learning, growth and personal/professional development.
Her work is situated at the intersection of presence, structure and transformation, with particular attention to the architecture of the Self as the foundation of human and professional development. She integrates psychosynthesis, transpersonal development, systemic awareness, positive psychology, ecopsychology and contemplative wisdom within the Self-System Approach, a developmental framework designed to cultivate greater awareness, coherence and the capacity to act in alignment with values, purpose and context

Is the training ICF accredited?
Yes. It is accredited at ICF Level 1 for 80 hours of coach education. With the ICF Level 1 pathway and your individual mentor coaching, you have the training hours and mentoring you need to apply for the ICF ACC credential.
What is Self-System Life Coaching?
Self-System Coaching is an approach that sees the person as a living system of inner parts, relationships and environment. It is rooted in psychosynthesis and integrates systemic thinking, positive psychology, neuroscience and ecopsychology within the ICF Core Competencies. The method is set out in full in Cris Pelizzatti's book Coaching the Self-System (2025).
Which language are classes taught in?
All our faculty are fully bilingual, and classes are taught in English and Italian, so you can follow and take part in either language.
